Criteria
In order for candidates to be considered by the judges they must:
- hold a British passport;
- be a specific living individual;
- have played a significant role in one of the categories: Arts, Business, Campaigning & Public Life, Creative Industries, Environment, Science & Innovation and Sport;
- have shown distinctively British characteristics in delivering their successful achievement;
- and have completed the achievement in 2007, or made a significant contribution to their field of work in the year.
