Lord Foster: Creative Industries
Although Lord Foster has received many accolades for architecture from all over the world, the judges included him due to his ability to marry technical expertise with sublime creativity. The judges felt that his Millau Viaduct project in France illustrated his talent at combining functionality with beauty and deserved the highest recognition. The panel also recognised his adaptability, determination and modesty.
