The lesson plans use Bloom’s taxonomy to meet differing ability levels... Learn more
Bloom’s taxonomy has been used within the lesson plans to serve two core purposes. Firstly, it is used to differentiate by learning outcome to enable the lessons to be taught to pupils of a range of abilities. This means that the learning outcomes for ‘all, most, some’ are based on the taxonomy and can be cross referenced accordingly. This ensures that teachers will be able to adapt the lesson plans to suite the learning needs of all students across the ability range, and provide inclusive yet challenging learning outcomes for students to work towards. The second purpose of the taxonomy is to provide teachers with an ‘Assessment for Learning’ framework, by which they can rigorously question students in varying degrees of sophistication, whilst at the same time provide a platform for students to assess their own progress and achievement and ensure they are given ongoing feedback.
